What is I-ROC?

The Individual recovery outcomes counter (I-ROC) is a measure of wellbeing outcomes. It is a facilitated self-assessment tool designed to structure a conversation around 12 indicators of wellbeing that are linked to recovery.

I-ROC is a validated measure of personal recovery developed by mental health practitioners and people with lived experience of mental ill health. It delivers meaningful and measurable results for service users, practitioners and organisations.

It is a facilitated self-assessment based on 12 indicators known to have an impact on wellbeing. The indicators are grouped into 4 areas:

  • Home
  • Opportunity
  • People
  • Empowerment

There is a question for each indicator which is rated by the participant on a scale of 1 to 6.

The I-ROC is designed for use by adults who may have been experiencing a range of difficulties with their mental health and wellbeing.
