Contact MinddistrictWhat is the PHQ-9 questionnaire?
The Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) is a 9-question screening used in primary care settings to assess the presence and severity of depression.
The questions ask about a client's experiences over the last two week period, and are related to things such as their level of interest in doing things, difficulty sleeping, feeling down or depressed, ability to concentrate and thoughts of suicide.
How can the PHQ-9 be used?
The PHQ-9 questionnaire is available on the Minddistrict online platform and can be easily assigned by a professional to an individual client. The client can then go through the questions and complete them in their own time. The questionnaire can be filled out in the native app.
Once the client has completed the session, the outcome 'score' of the questionnaire is determined automatically and sent to the therapist/professional. If used as part of a routine evaluation, these scores allow for measurement and monitoring of the client’s progress, for an efficient, streamlined process for professionals who require the data from this questionnaire as part of their client’s treatment.
PHQ-9 in a mental health treatment setting
For services treating those with depression, the PHQ-9 questionnaire can be added to the Minddistrict depression module to allow a seamless integration for services to collect an individual's results.
The questionnaire is also able to be added to other modules in the Minddistrict catalogue, including any bespoke modules that a service may create themselves using our content management system (CMS).
